It’s been an incredible week filled with faith, fun, and lots of learning for our Preschool through 8th-grade students! Our school community has come together to grow in our faith, and develop our minds through various exciting events. Here’s a look back at the week’s events:
Spelling Bee: The Power of Words
Our annual Spelling Bee was a great success! Students from all grades, from Kindergarten to 8th, took part in this exciting competition, showcasing their spelling skills and determination. It was incredible to see the preparation and hard work that went into each round, and it was clear that our students are not only strong in their faith but in their academics as well.
K-9 Demonstration: Learning About Safety and Service
We were fortunate to have a K-9 demonstration at the school, where local police officers and their K-9 partners showed us the important role these dogs play in keeping our community safe. The students were fascinated by the skills of the dogs and learned about teamwork, service, and dedication.
International Day: Celebrating Our Diverse Community
One of the most vibrant events of the week was our International Day. Students showcased their cultural heritage by presenting traditional foods, clothing, and dances from around the world. It was a beautiful celebration of the diversity within our school community and a wonderful way to bring the entire school together in a spirit of unity and respect.
Benediction and Eucharistic Procession: Honoring the Blessed Sacrament
Our school’s Benediction and Eucharistic Procession were moments of deep reverence and devotion. The entire school gathered to honor the Blessed Sacrament, and our students participated in a procession that was both solemn and uplifting. These special occasions helped to remind us all of the importance of prayer, worship, and the presence of Christ in our lives.
The Rosary Said in 12 Different Languages: A Global Prayer of Unity
In a powerful demonstration of our school’s commitment to global unity, we came together to pray the Rosary in 12 different languages. Students, teachers, and families gathered to pray for peace, love, and understanding. This event not only showcased our diverse backgrounds but also highlighted the universal power of prayer in uniting us as one global Catholic family.
Science Fair Awards: Celebrating Curiosity and Innovation
Our Science Fair was another fantastic event, where students from all grades displayed their innovative projects. From experiments about the environment to engineering challenges, our students’ creativity and curiosity were truly inspiring. The Science Fair awards recognized their hard work, critical thinking, and scientific discoveries, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements.
It’s been a fantastic Catholic Schools Week, growing in faith, and coming together as a community. From the youngest Preschoolers to our oldest 8th graders, each student has contributed to making this school year a memorable one. We can’t wait to see what the next year brings as we continue to grow in faith, knowledge, and love for one another.
Thank you to our students, teachers, staff, and families for making this year so special!
