Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Everest Parents,
The Solemnity of All Saints is a joyful celebration honoring all the saints, known and unknown, who have reached heaven and inspire us to live holy lives. Our 8:15am All School Mass will begin with a parade of saints featuring all of our teachers, staff, and students dressed as saints. Please join us as we come together to celebrate these remarkable examples of faith and holiness, asking for their intercession for our families and community!
Next week we will honor another set of “saints” – our grandparents! Mass will be at 10:30am followed by a luncheon and then class presentations at 1:00pm. Grandparents will have an opportunity to visit their grandchildren’s classrooms. Parents are welcome to attend. Please RSVP today so that we have an accurate headcount for food.
If you’ve been in the building, you’ve seen the beautiful baskets that our gala committee has put together to help raise money for our school. I would like to point you to one of the items and invite you to bid for the chance to have me come to your home and teach your family the art of making delicious Filipino eggrolls, also called lumpia. I will also make other traditional dishes, including dessert. Please register here to view and bid.
Lastly, I would like to congratulate the 5th/6th volleyball team for an exciting championship game. I was on the edge of my seat the entire game! Despite losing in 3 sets to an undefeated team, our girls played with a lot of heart and dedication. Thank you to all the fans who came out to support them. And congratulations to 8th graders Rachel Colarelli and Fabiana Nardulli for being named TCC All-Conference, an honor awarded by the coaches of teams in our conference.
I am looking forward to seeing all of our students in costume. Next week is our first Spirit Wear day of the year. Please read this document to learn more about Spirit Days.
In Christ’s peace,
