Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Everest Parents,
Welcome back and welcome to the new year! I hope that your celebration of Our Lord’s birth was a joyous and memorable one with family and friends.
As we look ahead to the new year, I am excited to share two recent developments that will help Everest to grow in excellence.
First, I am delighted to introduce Mrs. Mary Tellefsen, our new Director of Mission Advancement, who will be joining our school community to help further our mission of forming Christian leaders. She brings years of experience in education and community engagement, as well as a deep commitment to Catholic education and faith formation.
In this role, Mrs. Tellefsen will focus on strengthening relationships with families, alumni, and our broader community, while leading efforts in enrollment management, fundraising, and advancing our mission. She is excited to connect with each of you, hear your stories, and work alongside our community to ensure a bright future for Everest Academy. Please join me in giving Mary a warm welcome as she begins this important role!
Second, over the last several months, our faculty and staff have been deeply engaged in meaningful conversations and discussions about the traits and values that will help your children thrive as effective learners and compassionate leaders. Together, we’ve identified key qualities such as respect, resilience, curiosity, critical thinking, independence, and a love for God as essential to their personal and spiritual growth.
These discussions are rooted in our commitment to fostering not only academic excellence but also strong moral character and leadership grounded in faith. In the coming weeks and months, I will share more information about how we plan to integrate this focus into our curriculum, activities, and school culture… and how you can play an important role as parents in helping your children embrace these values and grow into the individuals God has called them to be.
Lastly, as we close the Christmas season this weekend and return to Ordinary Time next week, I want to thank our parents – on behalf of all of our faculty and staff – for your very generous Christmas gifts. Your love and support for us is amazing! Please click here to view the thank you card.
In Christ’s peace,

- At our most recent school assembly, Fr. Michael and Mr. Purpura led our students in a special ceremony to invoke God’s protection and blessing over our school community for the year ahead through a celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany, which commemorates the visit of the Magi to the Christ child and the manifestation of Jesus to the Gentiles.
