Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Everest Parents,
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended Parent-Teacher Conferences last night! I hope you found them insightful and encouraging as we work together to put integral formation into action. Our dedicated teachers strive each day to go beyond reading, writing, and math—focusing just as much on shaping character and fostering strong moral values. One key tool in this process is our Student Formation Plan, which helps students develop the attitudes, habits, and skills essential for becoming well-formed Christian leaders.
Speaking of formation, we are currently running a Uniform Refresh campaign. A proper uniform not only ensures students are dressed for success but also instills a sense of pride and unity within our school community. Thank you for helping reinforce this important standard!
Celebrating Student Achievements
Congratulations to our middle school students who received awards and/or qualified for the Regional Science Fair next month! A huge thank you to Mrs. Kmetty for organizing our school science fair and to Mrs. Paula Lawler for guiding students in preparing their papers. We are so proud of our students and can’t wait to see them showcase their hard work at the next level!
A special congratulations to Rafael Alkhouri, our School Spelling Bee Champion! Rafael will represent Everest at the South Cook Scripps Spelling Bee on March 4th. Thank you to Mrs. Colarelli for coordinating our class and school spelling bee and to our dedicated judges—Mrs. Bruin, Mrs. Fewkes, Mrs. Lawler, and Mrs. Tellefsen. It was inspiring to see our students compete with such skill and sportsmanship.
Exciting After-School Opportunities
In response to your requests, we’re thrilled to offer new after-school activities for our younger students, including theater, martial arts, chess, and art. Many of these classes begin next week, so please be sure to register today to secure your child’s spot and help us meet the minimum requirements for each activity.
Show Your Spirit – Last Home Games Next Thursday!
Next Thursday marks our final set of home games, and we’re celebrating with a fun theme: “LOVE is in the air!” Wear red, bring banners, and show your love for our student-athletes. Your energy and support make a big difference—let’s make it a great night!
Celebrating Marriage and Family
This Sunday is World Marriage Sunday, a special day in the Church dedicated to honoring and strengthening the vocation of marriage. On February 22, Regnum Christi is hosting a “Gift of Your Marriage” event for couples. The event includes a talk by Fr. Jason, a special Mass with a renewal of vows, and a celebratory luncheon at Alpine Banquets. I encourage you to take advantage of this beautiful opportunity to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate your marriage.
Let’s keep our school community in prayer, asking God to bless and protect the sacred bond of marriage. May all married couples continue to grow in love and reflect God’s eternal love in their daily lives. And for those facing struggles, may they find healing and strength through His grace.
In Christ’s peace,
Candy Hamilton

- Our last day of Catholic Schools Week was dedicated to celebrating our students. What a fun day it was for them to compete in soccer and floor hockey tournaments, scooter relays, even playing against the teachers in volleyball. We ended the day and the week with our students praying over their teachers. To top it off, all four of our basketball teams won their home games and we recognized our 8th grade players and their parents. God is good!
