Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Everest Parents,
“You learn to speak by speaking, to study by studying, to run by running, to work by working, and just so, you learn to love by loving.” – St. Francis de Sales
This month, we focus on the virtue of Love for Neighbor (Charity). Loving others as Jesus loves us isn’t always easy, but knowing we are deeply loved by God should inspire us to love Him in return—and to share that love with those around us. At Everest, we strive to give our students not only opportunities to experience God’s love but also to spread it.
#EverybodyNeedsALittleJesusLast month, we launched our #EverybodyNeedsALittleJesus campaign! Each student received two small Jesus figurines—one to keep and one to share. Click HERE to find pictures of students who have shared Jesus or discovered Him in unexpected places. Thank you to everyone participating in #EverestSharesJesus! Don’t forget to scan the QR code on the card to share your pictures.
Promoting Respect at Everest
Another key aspect of Charity is Respect—a value we have been actively reinforcing school-wide. Respect at Everest means treating others with kindness, valuing their opinions, and creating a supportive environment.
This past month, students have been focusing on “One Voice at a Time” to show respect in the classroom. This week, we’re encouraging them to make eye contact when speaking, especially with adults. If you notice any positive changes at home, we’d love to hear about it!
After School Activities
- Art & Chess kicked off this week, but there’s still time to sign up!
- Ms. Reznicek has now opened her art class to 2nd graders.
- BAM Musical Theater begins next week. Crouching Tigers Martial Arts (Ages 2-7) starts February 26th.
Show Love
To close, I’d love to share a short video from our Virtue=Strength program. It features a 4-year-old superhero who brings food to the homeless. As he hands out a sandwich, he sweetly reminds everyone: “Don’t forget to show love.” What a perfect message for Valentine’s Day — and every day!
In Christ’s peace,

Principal Pics!
- This week our preschoolers celebrated their 100th Day in school by dressing up as centenarians – usually modeling themselves after their grandparents.
