Thy Kingdom Come!

Dear Everest Parents,

I hope everyone had a restful and meaningful Thanksgiving break, filled with moments to reflect on the blessings of faith, family, and friends.

This week begins the beautiful season of Advent. At Everest, this is a time to prepare our hearts to receive Jesus at Christmas. On Wednesday, our faculty and staff enjoyed a peaceful holy hour prepared by Fr. Michael and our Little Knights for Christ made beautiful advent wreaths for their homes.

Outside the chapel, there is an Advent bulletin board with daily challenges to bring Christ’s love to others with simple actions. Inside the chapel, you’ll find an empty manger waiting to be filled. As students perform acts of charity, they will add straw to the manger. Our goal is to have a filled manger ready for baby Jesus on Christmas Day!

Advent at Everest also means celebrating the story of Christmas with our community. This Saturday, December 7, our preschoolers will bring the Nativity to life during Breakfast in Bethlehem. Then, on December 19, our K-8 students will share the joy of the season at the annual Christmas Pageant. These events allow our students to proclaim the Good News through song, performance, and joy.

Lastly, I would like to thank all those who gave to our Annual Appeal on Giving Tuesday. Your generosity is deeply appreciated. As we continue toward our goal, I am praying for 100% participation from our school community. Please CLICK HERE to make a donation if you haven’t yet done so.

Come, Lord Jesus! Help us to prepare our hearts for your coming at Christmas and be attentive to You in every way You desire to come to us.

In Christ’s peace,

Candy Hamilton Cocosign

Principal
