Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Everest Parents,
I hope that everyone had a nice, relaxing, and well-deserved spring break!
Thank you to all the dads (grandfathers, godfathers, uncles, etc.) who came out for our Day for Dad! Our students were so excited to have you at the school. I hope that you enjoyed your special day, especially those of you who allowed yourself to be wrapped in toilet paper or pushed on a scooter!
This past week has been an eventful one!
Our students gave amazing, heartfelt performances of their chosen poem at our annual Poetry Recitation Contest. Thank you to our hard-working students who put so much effort into practicing and preparing for their amazing performances! Our judges had great difficulty in selecting the winners!
On Thursday, our 5th-7th graders welcomed more than fifty 6th graders from Cumbres Querétaro, which is a RC school located in Mexico. After writing to each other as pen pals, the students were so excited to meet each other. Thank you to Mrs. Wodka for helping to arrange this special visit!
We are fast approaching Holy Week! Please see the newsletter for details about opportunities for your family to live Holy Week in a more meaningful way. Whether it’s joining other families for the Holy Thursday 7 Church Pilgrimage, or joining the CrossWalk to pray for those we encounter in downtown Chicago on Good Friday, or serving at the Holy Saturday Mercy Mission at Pacific Gardens homeless shelter, you can expect to grow in faith. This Holy Week let Christ send your family forth to bring hope to others. Visit HERE to learn more about Holy Week Family Missions.
In Christ’s peace,
