Welcoming Hearts and Bright Beginnings at Everest Academy
We are overjoyed to welcome a new face to the Everest Academy family! Please join us in giving a warm Everest welcome to Mrs. Diana Piña, our new Pre-K teacher. With a rich background rooted in faith, family, and education, Mrs. Piña brings not only experience but also deep passion and dedication to early childhood learning.
Originally from Mexico, Mrs. Piña embraces strong family values that align beautifully with the mission and spirit of Everest Academy. As a devoted member of Regnum Christi for over 25 years, she has served as a coworker and continues to live out her faith with great joy. Her connection to the RC family runs deep—her nephew, Eduardo, is now following in her footsteps as a coworker with the Legionaries of Christ.
Before stepping into the world of education, Mrs. Piña earned her MBA in England and spent over 13 years in the business world. But her heart ultimately led her to the classroom, where she has truly found her calling. She received her Early Childhood Certification from the Erikson Institute and completed English as a Second Language training at Notre Dame University.
Mrs. Piña comes to us with a wealth of teaching experience, having spent three years at Saint Mary of the Angels and over eleven years at the National Blue Ribbon-winning Saint Clement School in Chicago. Her classroom philosophy centers on hands-on learning, exploration, and nurturing a genuine love for discovery.
“My passion is teaching preschool,” she says. “I believe in the power of curiosity, creativity, and connection. In our classroom, your children will read, explore, connect with nature, and celebrate many cultures and traditions.”
When she’s not in the classroom, Mrs. Piña enjoys music, reading, cooking, baking, and traveling—activities that often inspire her teaching and help her connect with students in meaningful ways.
We are thrilled that Mrs. Piña is joining our Everest community. Her warm heart, strong faith, and commitment to early education will make a lasting impact on our youngest learners. We know your child will thrive under her care and guidance.
Welcome to Everest, Mrs. Piña—we’re so blessed to have you!
