Meet Miss Michniak: A Passionate Educator Dedicated to Lifelong Learning

From her early days in Lemont, Illinois, Miss Michniak always knew that teaching was her calling. A proud graduate of Benet Academy, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Dayton—taking one step closer to her dream of becoming an elementary school teacher.

That dream came true during her senior year of college, when she stepped into the role of a second grade student-teacher. From that moment on, she knew she was exactly where she was meant to be: in the classroom, helping young learners discover their potential.

Now shaping bright minds at Everest Academy, Miss Michniak brings both heart and experience to her 1st grade classroom. Her educational mission goes beyond the basics—she’s deeply committed to nurturing the “4 C’s” in her students: Collaboration, Communication, Creative Problem-Solving, and Critical Thinking. These core skills, she believes, are the foundation for success not just in school, but in life.

But Miss Michniak’s influence doesn’t stop at the classroom door. A passionate volleyball player since high school and college, she now serves as Everest Academy’s volleyball coach, a role she’s proudly held for the past three years. Her energy, teamwork, and leadership inspire students both on the court and in their studies.

Miss Michniak exemplifies the spirit of a dedicated, well-rounded educator—one who leads by example, encourages growth, and helps students discover their strengths. Whether she’s coaching a game-winning match or guiding her 1st graders through a new lesson, she brings enthusiasm, patience, and a deep love for learning to everything she does.
