Meet Miss Hannah Akroush: A Passionate Educator Coming Home to Everest

Everest Academy is proud to shine a spotlight on one of our very own alumn, Miss Hannah Akroush. A member of the graduating class of 2016, Miss Akroush has come full circle—returning to Everest not just as a former student, but now as an educator ready to inspire the next generation.

After graduating from Everest, Miss Akroush went on to attend Benet Academy and later DePaul University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Throughout her academic journey, one thing remained constant: her deep love for children and teaching.

Miss Akroush spent more than 100 hours observing and teaching in classrooms, gaining hands-on experience that has shaped her approach to education. Her commitment to Everest never wavered, as she served as a teaching assistant and substitute teacher here for two years—building strong connections with our staff and students along the way.

Beyond the classroom, Miss Akroush dedicated over five years to working as a nanny. These experiences, paired with her natural warmth and dedication, have only deepened her conviction that working with children is her calling.

We are thrilled to welcome Miss Akroush back to Everest in this new chapter. Her journey—from student to teacher—embodies the spirit of lifelong learning and service that we cherish at our school. Her energy, compassion, and experience make her a tremendous asset to our community, and we can’t wait to see the impact she will have on our students.

Welcome home, Miss Akroush!
