This week, we’re hitting pause on the usual routine to focus on something truly special—our teachers.
It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and from May 5 to May 9, schools across the country (including right here at Everest Academy) are celebrating the people who make such a profound difference in our children’s lives. The ones who show up every day with patience, passion, and purpose. The ones who go above and beyond to help students not only learn—but grow into the best versions of themselves.
Let’s be honest: being a teacher is no small task. It’s lesson planning, classroom managing, cheerleading, mentoring, guiding, listening, and so much more—all rolled into one incredibly important role. And while we do our best to say thank you all year long, this week gives us a dedicated moment to shine a big, bright spotlight on their work.
Here at Everest Academy, we’re kicking off the week with daily surprises, themed celebrations, and plenty of heartfelt messages from our students and families. Whether it’s a cup of coffee delivered with a smile, a handwritten note from a student, or a classroom decorated in their honor, our goal is simple: let every teacher know just how appreciated they are.
Want to join in the celebration? Here are a few simple ways to say thanks:
- Write a personal thank-you note or email
- Have your child draw a picture or share a favorite memory
- Drop off a small treat or classroom supply
- Just say it—“Thank you for all you do!”
This week is about more than gifts or gestures. It’s about recognizing that teachers are the heart of our schools. They inspire, encourage, and shape the future—one student, one lesson, one moment at a time.
To all the amazing teachers at Everest Academy and beyond: thank you for your love, your leadership, and your unwavering commitment to education. You are truly appreciated, this week and always.
