Students from Everest Academy recently celebrated a joyful and important milestone in their faith journey as they received the Sacrament of Confirmation on March 7, 2026. The students were graciously invited to celebrate this special occasion at Our Mother of Good Counsel Parish, thanks to the kindness and generosity of Fr. Greg Podwysocki.
Confirmation is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation in the Catholic Church and marks a moment when young Catholics are strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit and called to live their faith more fully. Through prayer, preparation, and study, Everest Academy students spent many months preparing their hearts for this sacred day.
The Confirmation Mass was a beautiful celebration of faith, bringing together students, families, teachers, and parishioners in prayer and thanksgiving. As each student received the sacrament, they affirmed their commitment to follow Christ and to live out the values of the Gospel in their daily lives.
The Everest Academy community is deeply grateful to Fr. Greg and the parish community of Our Mother of Good Counsel for welcoming our students so warmly and allowing them to celebrate this sacrament in their parish. Their hospitality helped make the day especially meaningful for the students and their families.
At Everest Academy, faith formation is at the heart of the school’s mission. Moments like Confirmation remind us that Catholic education is about more than academics—it is about forming young men and women who know, love, and serve God.
We congratulate our newly confirmed students and pray that the gifts of the Holy Spirit—wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord—continue to guide them as they grow in faith and virtue. ✝️
