Everest Academy Celebrates Friendship Day

On Monday, January 19, Everest Academy will joyfully welcome adults with disabilities to campus for our inaugural Friendship Day, a special event dedicated to building relationships, celebrating joy, and living out our call to serve others with love and dignity.

Friendship Day is a meaningful opportunity for our students to put faith into action. Throughout the day, students will host and lead a variety of fun games and activities, thoughtfully designed to be welcoming and accessible. More than just running the activities, our students will participate alongside our guests, forming genuine connections through laughter, teamwork, and shared experiences.

This day reflects the heart of Everest Academy’s mission: to form students who recognize the inherent dignity of every person and respond with compassion, respect, and joyful service. By engaging directly with adults with disabilities, students learn the importance of inclusion, empathy, and authentic friendship—lessons that extend far beyond the classroom.

Friendship Day is not simply an event; it is a celebration of community. It reminds us that true joy is found in relationships and that every person has unique gifts to share. As students and guests play, create, and connect, the campus is filled with smiles, encouragement, and a spirit of belonging.

Everest Academy is grateful for the opportunity to open our doors and hearts on Friendship Day. We look forward to a day filled with fun, meaningful interactions, and the beautiful reminder that friendship is one of God’s greatest gifts.
