☘️ Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day ☘️

Each year on March 17, the Church celebrates the feast of Saint Patrick, the beloved missionary who brought Christianity to Ireland. While many people associate the day with shamrocks, parades, and the color green, St. Patrick’s Day is first and foremost a celebration of faith, courage, and evangelization.

St. Patrick’s story is one of remarkable trust in God. As a young boy, he was taken from his home in Britain and brought to Ireland as a slave. During this difficult time, he turned to prayer and grew deeply in his faith. After escaping and returning home, Patrick eventually answered God’s call to return to Ireland—not in anger, but in love—to share the Gospel with the very people who had once held him captive.

Through his preaching, teaching, and example, St. Patrick helped bring countless people to Christ. Tradition tells us he used the simple three-leaf shamrock to explain the mystery of the Holy Trinity: one God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

At Everest Academy, St. Patrick’s Day is a wonderful reminder of the courage it takes to live and share our faith. His life shows us that even in hardship, God can work through us to bring hope and light to others.

As we celebrate today, may we remember the deeper meaning of this feast: to live our faith boldly, to trust in God’s plan, and to share the joy of the Gospel wherever we go.

St. Patrick, pray for us! ☘️✝️
