Everest Academy completed construction of its new academic building in Lemont, Ill located at 115th and Bell Road.

Everest Academy is a private, independent Roman Catholic school that enjoys the spiritual support and encouragement of the Archdiocese of Chicago. It implements the Integral Formation method of education developed by the Legion of Christ. This approach helps students to cultivate their natural gifts by addressing four distinct dimensions of the human person: intellectual, human, spiritual, and apostolic. The mission of Everest Academy is to form future leaders for society who possess knowledge, integrity, character and a disposition to service .

Everest Academy is one of ten such schools in the United States and one of 176 schools worldwide developed by the Legion of Christ. The Legion has developed such schools internationally. Since the latter portion of the 20th century, these schools were started with the planning, direction, and implementation of the Legion of Christ, the founding boards of directors, and the schools' parents.

For each enrolled child these schools create an environment conducive to learning, spiritual growth, and development as leaders. A rigorous academic curriculum is supported by individual character and values formation. Combined with a dynamic program that encourages students to put their faith and virtue into action, Everest Academy students receive the formation necessary to be leaders. Teachers positively motivate their students in a caring and supportive environment. As a result, families are attracted by the unique opportunities provided by the Academy. The success of the Legion and its schools is well recognized by the Roman Catholic Church.
