About the Stanford 10 Achievement Test

The Stanford 10 Achievement Test is a top-rated nationally standardized test for K-12.

This specific standardized test provide an indication of how much knowledge a student has accumulated at a given point in his or her schooling in relation to other children of the same age in schools across the state and the nation. The Stanford 10 Achievement Test is a top-rated nationally standardized test for K-12.

One of the main advantages of standardized testing is that it is able to provide assessments that are psychometrically valid and reliable, as well as results that are generalized and replicable. Another advantage is aggregation. A well-designed standardized test provides an assessment of an individual's mastery of a domain of knowledge or skill which at some level of aggregation will provide useful information.

In determining of the proper achievement test for Everest Academy, tests were reviewed to find the best assessment tool that would provide the information that is important for our educators to be better informed about providing the appropriate level of challenge and support for our students. The Stanford 10 correlated best overall with the NCE Curriculum and was found to be the most challenging.
